Arrive in Singapore for an overnight stay at the iconic Raffles hotel before you embark on your rail journey.
Settle into your luxurious cabin as the train travels over the causeway, into Malaysia and out into the countryside.
Arrive at the Mughal-style Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and explore on a city tour, heritage walking tour or a visit to the National Museum. Enjoy lunch on the journey to Tapah Station, transfer by coach to the luxurious Cameron Highlands Resort; stay overnight following a dinner spent taking in the fabulous views from Malaysia’s most celebrated hill retreat.
Choose from treatments in its Spa Village to visiting the Best of Highlands tea plantation in the morning. After lunch, travel to Ipoh to board the train, enjoy an aperitif in the Bar Car before a fabulous dinner as the train glides on through the night.
Today you will transfer to the island of Penang for an excursion, followed by afternoon tea in your cabin and then a delicious evening meal with your fellow travellers. Your journey continues into Thailand.
Spend the morning in a rural fishing village then take a local speedboat to the island of Koh Chaan, home to thousands of bird colonies. You’ll enjoy a Thai seafood barbecue lunch and time to enjoy the beach. Back on board your evening will be spent at a farewell cocktail party hosted by the Train Manager.
Disembark in Bangkok as the onboard team wave goodbye and wish you a pleasant onward journey.
